As photographers we naturally see the world differently than those that are not. We find the quirkiness, the beauty, and the life in the world around us that normally goes unseen. We pour our hearts out into our images and when we print, post and submit them we have a hard time separating our heart from the image itself. We are a community. We are artists.
I found location the other day that had amazing light, great coloring and some wonderful fog and mist. I texted another local photographer and we did a tandem shoot with our beauties. My daughter was simply not having any of this. She screamed the moment she got out of the car to the moment I put her back in. The images I shot of her were more along the lines of wedding day blackmail rather than portfolio pieces. However when my fellow local business owner took her place to shoot, she was poetic. She knew how to navigate the scene and knew how to manipulate light to her advantage. A lot had to do with her knowledge of her daughter and being able to predict her next move. Even more so it came from experience. The gal that I am referring to is the Owner of Esha Hart Photography. She is graceful and kind and that transcends into her images, and the way she runs her shoots. Esha is not a chatty person while shooting, she tends to direct and shoot. She gets down to business in a sweet, soft spoken way. Children respond well to her, and adults feel comfortable around her. Esha is a person that I would HIGHLY recommend doing any new babies newborn sessions. Newborn lifestyle photography is her arena; she owns it and is proficient at it. Esha and my editing styles could not be further from each other. She edits light bright and airy, and holds the market on that. When you come across and Esha Hart image there is no mistaking it. Her editing style has the ability to instantly take you on a country cottage vacation; it is simple, sweet and bright.
I was able to take some behind the scenes photography of her while she was shooting. I hope to showcase at least one of my fellow local photographers a month. We are a community. We support each other. The work that we do is far from just shooting a picture. We sit in puddles, we walk in dog poop, and we love it. To be a good photographer you MUST have passion for life, and you MUST understand that nothing in life is ordinary. Nothing.
Anyway, here are the images that I took of Esha Hart while shooting. Take time to look her up on Facebook, you will be thankful to see her work.
